That means tight, documented access control at the gate and the dock, visitor and vendor logging, and officers who understand they're protecting expensive machinery and often sensitive work the tenant doesn't want walked off the property. We brief officers assigned to these posts on access procedures, conduct, and the difference between observing-and-reporting and intervening. For most manufacturing and warehouse posts, unarmed officers are the right fit , they're trained to control access, document, and escalate, not to physically confront an active threat. Where a contract calls for armed coverage and the risk justifies it, we'll staff it with an officer who holds a valid BSIS exposed firearm permit, and we'll tell you honestly whether it adds real value or just cost.
Every contract opens with a walk-through. We map entry points, the dock, lighting, blind spots, and the hours that actually carry risk, then write post orders specific to the building. Officers log patrol activity through our GuardTrac digital reporting system and write up incidents during the shift. A supervisor reviews the reports, and you receive them on the schedule set in the contract, with a same-shift phone call for anything serious. For construction and tenant-improvement work, common in a city that's constantly redeveloping older industrial sites, we provide gate access logging and patrols, plus fire watch with documented rounds when a permit or a fire-system outage requires it.

Every officer completes the BSIS Power to Arrest course and the required guard-card skills training, carries a valid guard card on shift, and completes any site-specific training the post requires. We're licensed, bonded, and insured, with documentation available to a property manager or facilities team on request, and we're a member of CALSAGA, the California Association of Licensed Security Agencies, Guards & Associates, the statewide group that works with BSIS and the legislature on licensing and training standards.
