Standard scope: visible deterrence, parking lot patrol, loss-prevention support, and after-hours property checks. Irvine retail environments expect officers who can interact with shoppers courteously.
Irvine's planned communities — Woodbury, Portola Springs, Orchard Hills, Quail Hill, Northwood, Turtle Rock, and others — are predominantly HOA-governed. Requests include gate monitoring, parking enforcement, amenity area checks, and community patrol. Officers are selected for a calm, approachable presence.
