A few years ago Inglewood was known mostly for the Forum. Now it's the densest concentration of major sports and entertainment venues in the country, built on the old Hollywood Park Racetrack: SoFi Stadium, the Intuit Dome that opened in 2024, the Kia Forum, the YouTube Theater, and a 300-acre Hollywood Park development still under construction around them, with offices, retail, a hotel, and thousands of homes going in. On an event night, tens of thousands of people pour into a few square blocks. The rest of the time, it's one of the largest active construction sites in the Western US.
We'll be straight about our role here, because it matters. The big venues, SoFi and the Intuit Dome, run their own large security operations, and we're not claiming to staff those. Where a firm like ours fits in Inglewood is everything around them: the businesses, parking operations, and smaller properties that get overwhelmed on event days, the construction sites across Hollywood Park that sit full of equipment and materials overnight, and smaller-scale event and venue work that needs licensed officers. On a construction post we walk the site, write post orders around the gates, the laydown areas, and the equipment left out, and run mobile patrol on randomized timing, because copper and tools walk in the small hours and a predictable pass is easy to time. On any post near a crowd, our officers work under the BSIS Power to Arrest framework, which sets exactly what a guard can and can't do, and we train to that line.
Now the honest geography. ShieldWise is a California-licensed Private Patrol Operator, PPO #122008, headquartered in Riverside, not Inglewood. Are we based in Inglewood? No. A BSIS license is valid statewide, and we cover Inglewood on a contract and project basis. We don't keep a yard near the stadium or officers who grew up in the area, and a closer firm may be the better fit for a small standing post. Our officers carry current BSIS guard cards under Title 16 of the California Code of Regulations, and we're a member of CALSAGA, the statewide trade association for licensed security agencies.
The honest limits. Our unarmed officers observe, document, and escalate; they don't physically intervene in an active-violence situation, and a private guard is not a substitute for the police, which matters more at event scale, not less. We don't provide close protection for performers or athletes. And we'll tell you when your risk doesn't justify a full-time post.
